Venice Breakwater: Saturday's Storm Swell

The weekend's surf forecast called for the recent storm to bring 8 foot waves to the area. Even though the wind, tide, and the occasional periods of rain weren't helping, there were some big waves on Saturday over at the Venice Beach Breakwater.

Venice Beach Weekend Surf Report.

North side of the Breakwater

Saturday's surf forecast called for 8 foot waves, and while they did reach that and higher, most were closeouts. Over at Venice Beach, both sides of the Breakwater saw the occasional good sets. With the south side going off at the crack of dawn, then dying down as the north side took over mid-morning.

SUP Saturday: Jim Muir

Saturday morning over on the north side of the Venice Breakwater, Jim Muir was back on his paddle board after being out for about two months with a foot injury.
