Wednesday Wipeouts



Every Wednesday (pretty much), a collection of the best and worst wipeouts that been caught by Six12 Media. These were all caught in Venice Beach during the past two weeks..

Nissan 350Z Stuck In The Sand


Some "photographer" thought it would be a neat idea to have the owner of this Nissan 350Z drive out onto the sand for some photos. The car only made it a few feet off the parking lot at Venice Beach, before it got stuck. Their efforts to get the car out only made it worse too. A tow truck had to come remove the Nissan from the sand.

US Open Of Surfing "Lifestyle" Photos



No coverage of the US Open Of Surfing is complete with the "Lifestyle" photos. Due to last year's riots, Vans scaled down the event this year. No more music stage and less vendors than the past year's event. The event focused more on being a surfing contest instead of being a three-ring circus like the previous years.


Smaller, quieter crowd this year, even on the last day.

Kooks are Dangerous

Being a lifeguard captain, Remy Smith knows this all too well, but one day, while surfing some good size waves at the Venice Breakwater, one kook, who shouldn't even been out in these waves in the first place, was unable to dive under a wave and shot his surfboard out right into oncoming Remy. Fortunately, Remy was able to block the board as it shot out right in his face.
