Video: US Open Of Surfing Snapchat Story

This is the official US Open Of Surfing Snapchat Story that was uploaded live on the final day of the contest. This was shot by various people throughout the day.



If you're unfamilar with Snapchat, it's a mobile app that lets you take and post photos and 10 second video clips you shoot on your phone or tablet. These photos and videos are called snaps, they only last for 24hrs. You either send these to snapchat friends or post them to your Story. Snapchat Stories string Snaps together to create a narrative that also lasts for 24 hours.

Agenda Trade Show

The Agenda Trade Show is where the skate, surf, and skate & surf lifestyle companies go to show off their new goods to the retail shop buyers. The show is held a few times a year, twice in Long Beach, in January and again in July. the following are photos from yesterday. Here it is with the new Kung-Fu grip mount. This is going to be excellent for those boxing match POV shots.

Plus, a few Gopro accessory companies were on hand with various creative mounts for Gopros.

Over at the Vans' booth, while business was being handled inside the booth, outside the booth Steve Van Doran was cooking up waffles for everyone.

At the Uppercut Deluxe/Z-Flex booth, skate legend Eric Dressen fresh from getting his hair cut by Shane Nesbitt.
"When we are kids or adults alike, there are always people we look up to for one reason or another, could be basketball players, baseball players, musicians, politicians, dancers or in my case, skateboarders. One of the guys in looked up to as a kid was Eric Dressen, dude had the best style, indelible fluidity, and an uncanny ability to wiggle through the streets on a skateboard. Today for whatever reason, he decided to come get his haircut by me and it was an absolute honor. When you finally meet someone you have held in such high regard for so long and they are everything you had expected and more, it makes the wait well worth it. Agenda Long Beach

Agenda is a series of creative lifestyle fashion trade shows, where buyers for all the retail shops and web sites go to check out the newest lines from all surf and skate companies. Taking place this past Monday and Tuesday at the Long Beach Convention Center, the Agenda Long Beach show is the flagship show for the Agenda Brand with over 750 branded collections showing. There was also 8 hours worth of workshops by industry insiders on related topics such as branding, e-commerce, and creative marketing.

The Haze x Hurley display.

The van, created by NY graffiti artist Eric Haze, was a tribute to Craig Stecyk with a photo lab inside.


Behind the van was the Hurley Craig Stecyk pop-up printing press, that was printing of collector's t-shirts.
