Vintage Skate Mag, Flyer & Catalog Scans: H-Street Newsletters

Part 3 of a look into a collection of various skateboarding memorabilia from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Every week (or so), we will pick a couple items to go over and give them high-resolution scans. This week, two newsletters from H-Street.

First up is a H-street Newsletter from October 1991. It is a single page newsletter with printing on both sides. H-Street would send out a newsletter every few months or so, it would give updates on their skate team, products, and info on their next video release. They sent out this newsletter right after Mike Ternasky left the company and started up Plan B, taking several of H-Streets riders with him. This is mentioned in the main section on the front page. Also on the front is info on submitting for sponsorship, a update on their demos, and a section about art work that people have sent to them.

The next newsletter is from 1992. They now called them "The Orange Report". It was a 4 page newsletter printed on orange paper. Unlike the other versions that were folded and put in envelopes, this one was folded, stapled shut, and had the mailing label attached to the front page.

The front page had info on their latest video "Next Generation". The second page contained a quiz about the video, in which the first 20 people to mail in the correct answers would win a skate deck. also on the second page was a best of poll for the video and a section about what all skate team members have been up to.
